ECHVID LEARNING GUIDES

Responsible video publishing checklist

A practical release gate for accuracy, ownership, privacy and platform-specific compliance.

Keep creation separate from factual verification

A generated script or image can illustrate an idea but does not verify a real-world claim. News claims should be attributable to reliable material, and editorial decisions should be explicit.

In practice: Do not treat a confident-sounding model response as a primary source.

Disclose altered or synthetic content

Check the current disclosure requirements of each destination, especially for realistic altered events, simulated public figures and generated voices. Present dramatizations clearly enough that viewers are unlikely to mistake them for documentary footage.

In practice: Review the disclosure on the actual destination rather than assuming one label works everywhere.

Respect rights and privacy

Confirm permissions for footage, audio, photographs, trademarks and recognizable likenesses. Avoid exposing private details or access credentials in public pages, release descriptions, generated captions or exported metadata.

In practice: Keep authorization tokens and internal production paths out of public-facing assets.

Approve the destination-specific version

Review title, thumbnail, description, captions, audience settings, links, disclosure flags and technical format for each platform. A correct YouTube release does not automatically validate a TikTok or LinkedIn release.

In practice: Treat upload readiness and editorial approval as different checkpoints.

Reconcile publishing outcomes

Store a release receipt and platform identifier when available. If a publishing request times out, inspect the destination before retrying so the same video is not posted twice.

In practice: If the platform result is ambiguous, hold the retry until the actual status is known.
